Siamo nel 1985, in una realtà alternativa dove Usa ed Unione Sovietica sono ai ferri corti. Nixon è ancora presidente e i supereroi in costume chiamati “guardiani” esistono ma sono stati banditi. Quando uno dei suoi ex colleghi viene ucciso, il vigilante mascherato di nome Rorschach si attiva per sventare un catastrofico complotto di proporzioni inimmaginabili, riunendo i supereroi sopravvissuti. La loro missione è vegliare sull’umanità, ma chi veglierà sui vigilanti? Dal regista di “300” Zack Snyder un film che è già diventato un cult.
