Carloforte, Isola di San Pietro, Sardegna. La comunità è sconvolta da un tragico evento:
l'esplosione dell'antica tonnara durante una festa tra i ragazzi del liceo, in cui quattro di loro
perdono la vita. Il dottor Pietro Sereni (Gianni Morandi) è il primo a prestare soccorso, rimanendo
ferito. L'evento riporta sull'isola dopo un assenza di quindici anni Elena (Chiara Baschetti),
la figlia di Pietro, che si troverà ad affrontare il suo doloroso passato.
