Avumile Qongqo, Brashaad Mayweather...
La dottoressa Emma Collins e il suo team di ricercatori trascorrono la loro terza estate sull'isola di Little Happy per studiare l'effetto del cambiamento climatico sui grandi squali bianchi che ogni anno si avvicinano alle rive per riprodursi. Insieme agli ultimi due abitanti di quello che un tempo era un villaggio di pescatori, gli scienziati vedono la loro pacifica esistenza sconvolta dall'arrivo di un'altra squadra "scientifica" guidata da Richard, ex fidanzato di Emma e biologo marino alla ricerca di tre pericolosi esemplari di squali.
