Il Dottore, Bisturi e 32 sono tre rapinatori che, insieme a un quarto complice, rubano le paghe dei dipendenti di una piccola industria farmaceutica. Il colpo si mette subito male, il quarto uomo ci lascia le penne e i tre sfuggono di un soffio alla polizia, prendendo in ostaggio prima una donna, Maria, quindi un uomo a cui sequestrano l'automobile, non sapendo che sulla vettura si trova anche un bambino malato, che andrebbe al più presto portato in ospedale. I tre dovranno viaggiare a lungo insieme alle loro vittime nell'angusto abitacolo.
